The ski track in the cultural landscape

The filmmaker Hanno Mackowith, who is originally from Vorarlberg and lives in Innsbruck, produces a freeride art film now and then and quite without purpose, in which he sets new accents in terms of form and content. In 2015 and 2016 he was on the Arlberg to film with Lorraine Huber (Freeride World Champion 2017).

In his new film, Hanno Mackowitz is concerned with pictorially demonstrating increasingly man-made structures in nature using the example of Arlberg, Austria’s largest contiguous ski area. Lorraine – captured in an extremely aesthetic visual language – completes her turns in the open ski area, close to the manifest signs of the landscape shaped by human hands.
