After the success of last year’s film by the two freeskiers and producers Matthias Mayr and Matthias Haunholder, the goal for this year’s film project was clear from the start: to achieve a further increase!

The title “Far Away” does not primarily stand for the geographical distance, but rather deals with the emotional connections between the athletes and their relatives. The result is an action-packed freeride film that at the same time provides insight into the emotional lives of those people who play the most important roles in the lives of the protagonists. Austria was once again the main filming location: Obertauern, for example, is one of the places where numerous shots were taken.
