A Snowmads Meditation on the Art of Experiencing Nature
Unlike previous Snowmads productions (“Kastanistan” 2022 or “Ya Mas – Snowmads in Greece” 2017), “Purity” does not describe geographical adventure journeys. Instead, Gabriel Indrist, part of the Snowmads crew, and director Lukas Schäfer take us on a meditative journey inside and to a deep connection with nature.
In this non-verbal yet atmospheric narrative, the mountains and nature become Gabriel’s teachers: “If we look and listen closely, nature shapes and teaches us how to be in harmony with ourselves and our surroundings.” “Purity” emphasizes the ease and inspiration found in the mountains, as well as the importance of mindfulness and appreciation, whether in everyday life or freeriding.
Gabriel and Lukas share this message by focusing on nature as a matter of course in extraordinary images and furthermore riding dreamlike lines together with Konstantin Ottner and Moritz Amsüss.
“Purity” is the perfect film for days when you don’t feel like talking anymore or listening to others talk. Because sometimes it’s just enough to be enchanted by the beauty of the images and the magic of life.
