A short 16mm portrait of Svea Irving, exploring her deep connection to nature and passion for skiing. In a state of constant motion, she finds balance, flowing seamlessly with the elements. “Allow your subconscious to wander, freeing the mind to explore and drift through the harmony of movement and nature”, says director Griffin Glendinning.

Svea is a halfpipe ski pro who competes in the World Cup and at the X-Games (SuperPipe bronze in 2023). But she also likes to hang out in the backcountry whenever she can. ‘With this film, we want to portray that in all the different parts of her life, there is a beauty that meets at this very point of ‘stasis’ – this moment of absolute stillness,’ explains the filmmaker.

Bottom line: A mystically melancholic portrait in arthouse cinema style by creative genius Griffin Glendinning. In a cool, visually abstract way, the action alternates gracefully between contemplation in nature and creative freeride and athletic halfpipe action.
