In the winter of 2011, Austria hosted the start of the world’s only freeride tour, the Freeride World Tour. Since the 8-year existence of this world championship tour, it was the first time that an Austrian venue, Fieberbrunn, was included in the tour calendar alongside such renowned places as Chamonix, St. Moritz and Sochi.
