Through the project “We ride in Iran” (www.werideiniran.com), the Swiss Arnaud Cottet, Ben Goncerut, Ruedi Flück and Greg Tuscher got to know the Iranian Sina Shamyani and explored untouched mountains around Tehran and the Damavand region together with him on skis in 2012 and 2013.

In February 2015, there is another meeting with Sina. Sina is a ski instructor, comes from Tehran and lives for his passion, skiing. This is not easy in the surrounding social and cultural conditions in Iran and also leads to tensions for him.

“Salam Azizam” tells the story of a road trip and a close community of skiers who claim in unfamiliar place.
