Elsewhere follows four athletes on a self-organized, self-documented freeride expedition in the French Alps. Through camping and skiing, they escape everyday life and enter a quiet, surreal world — physically close, yet far removed.

The film employs the metaphor of a prism to express this fragile in-between state. A personal poem, written and narrated by one of the athletes, adds emotional depth to this powerful mountain experience.
